Recycle Your Christmas Tree in Summerlin, Las Vegas
Through Jan. 15, Summerlin residents can drop off their Christmas trees at the lot adjacent RC Willey Home Furnishings, 3850 S. Town Center Dr. just south of the 215 beltway, in Summerlin. Those who live in Summerlin’s northern villages may opt for nearby Bruce Trent Park on Vegas Drive, and those in The Mesa village may opt for the Lowe’s location on South Fort Apache Road, near Summerlin. All three locations are open 24 hours. Valley-wide there are 33 locations accepting trees through Jan. 15.
There is no fee to drop off a tree. All non-organic objects such as lights, wire, tinsel, ornaments and nails must be removed before dropping off trees. Flocked and artificial trees cannot be recycled. Residents who need trees picked up for recycling can call 1-800-GOT-JUNK or schedule pick-up online at 1800GOTJUNK.com. The company will pick up trees for $30 and drop them off at designated recycling locations throughout the valley.
