Today is Theodor Seuss Geisel's Birthday, known to many as Dr. Seuss. And, I couldn't give up this opportunity to celebrate such an amazing publisher, author and cartoonist who's books not only rhymed but were imaginative, fun and witty with a lesson embedded in each story. Dr. Seuss' books can be found in the homes of many. Seuss published over 60 books to include The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish and my favorites Oh, The Places You'll Go! and Oh, The Thinks You Can Think! Dr. Seuss' Birthday, March 2, has been adopted as the annual date for National Read Across America Day, an initiative on reading created by the National Education Association.
